Re: [REF] Preparation for Overseas Movement Markings

I believe that this is a reprint of that article.

Re: [REF] Preparation for Overseas Movement Markings

Ben,

The issue of the MVPA Army Motors that arrived today (Feb 7, 2011), issue 134. Has an article by Lloyd White in it about "Overseas Marketings".

You may want to acquire the issue.

Re: ETO Blood Bank marmite can

Ben,

I did not realize until I read the post that I used the wrong font for the main letter on my "blood pail". Is there a font name for the large lettering and also one for the small? Are these true type fonts?

I want to do my last pail correctly.

Re: Picture of chest 97915

Thank you for posting that Alfie! That would appear to be the chest that I have.

Any idea of what was in it.

The seller told me medical supplies but obviously if so it was not that way originally.

Glad to see it is from WWII.

I am posting some pictures that I took today. The more I look at this and the Med 3 catalog the more I am convinced that it isn't a med chest. I thought that the backing nuts were for the legs that hold up the lid of the chest but it appears that they are in the wrong place for a med chest. Someday ...

They look identical to the equipment I used in my EMT course in 1975. Much of it was GI surplus.

Thanks for all the replies guys. The chest looks much like what Peter has picked out. It looks like these chests but has no legs but I believe has the mounting holes for the legs. The web pictures are not close enough for me to get a good look. I am not getting home from work until after dark so I c...

I agree with Peter. Depending upon date of manufacture would dictate which crosses you should have. My Ambulance is done up for Air Corps MTO (15th in Amendola). While not completely accurate I chose version 3 of the crosses out of personal preference. Most of the Ambulance pictures I have seen from...

Picture of chest 97915

Would anyone have a good clear picture of Chest 97915. I have recently picked up an unmarked chest and I feel that it could be this one. I discovered a poorly reproduced picture in the ebay available Med 3 catalog about 25 pages in from the back. It is listed as: 97915 TRAY SET TYPE 7: (Consists of ...

That was my post about a chest I bought. I fixed the link on the pictures so they now appear.

Ben, Let me clear up my previous reply. I am doing this from memory so I could be wrong on this. The litter is identical to Roger's (except for splotches of cream colored paint that were slobbered on it). It is made out of the heavy canvas material and has the same type twist posts on the head restr...

Ben, Thank you very much for the information provided. It was exactly what I was looking for. From your input it is post war as it has the plain Caduceus with the U S on either side. The only difference I see from Rogers is that there appears to be a second hood beneath the one attached with the twi...
