Re: MD 2 chest trays

Fred, for me it was very difficult to find out about the colors. For the outer side I used the OD paint (matt 1942) which usualy is been used to spray paint vehicles. For the inside I used RAL 6014, a bit darker, as many chests I have seen are darker on the inside than on the outside. To be honest t...

Re: MD 2 chest trays

@ PAdoc (Dirk?), after a long research I found these plans on the web. I agree, very professional, in deed. And the information helped a lot. @ Andrewb, I crafted these trays by myself, using some plans/ drawings/ sketches http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h267/jbsaxon/IMAG0337_zps635452fc.jpg After...

Re: Medical bag repro items

Well Akko and guys, I had the same problem on one missing snap. I also was desperately searching for a spare snap, but unfortunately didn´t find one until today. Finally I found a nice substitute - a bit expensive, but as I think a nice alternative: The ebay store SUZY'S SURPLUS is selling an item &...

Re: Emergency Medical Tag Booklet

Malpaso, good work indeed - I know what I am talking about, I also crafted one before. I also perforated every single sheet, and fortunately my paper cutter also has a perforating wheel. Watching your photos I am a bit confused and I am wondering if I did it the right way. In my understanding the or...

5th Convoy to Remember, Switzerland

Hi mates, as I announced the other day, there was another Airborne event last month. It took place in Birmenstorf, Switzerland and we were asked to jump there. I jumped as a medic again, but left most of my equipment behind, because it was an extreme small drop zone. We did 3 great jumps, but I unfo...

Re: War Department, Medical ID Card (laminated)

Hi folks, I just found another 2nd version Medical ID card. Here is the data: PFC Richardson, 30 June 45, R 355430 As you can see it is another very late war card with the prefix R Alain, thanks for the list. I totally agree, that before D-Day there might have been issued a lot less second version c...
