Hello Doc 1911, this instrument is a Cooper needle for ligature of vessels, and the hand grooved director is used for exploring the wounds.

Hi belchi, in 1947 until 1960, the Administration prefered "stock number" in place of "item number" Stock number is made with 7 numbers separated in 3 blocks by dash.. I think this regulation is not applicate immediately on certains things. The name of each item is often changing...

Hello Claudio,

this "chest commode" was used during WW1.
Perhaps in the beginning of WW2,but the "look" is really WW1.
I have many "ambulance box" of WW1 whoare similary made

However,it is a nice item from this era.

But the syringe very dry and broken with the tube who is fixed with the glass in the left of the box,this item is made to blow out of the ear any foreign object.
Sorry but this box is always not for sale!!!!

yes my sphygmomanometer have the wood box stenciled MED DEPT US ARMY.
It is the same as Ben (see above) but complete!
Have you seen the identical but in metal box?
