Re: MD 2 chest trays

Hi Medicall

Nice work with the restoration. The tray set looks as new. .

What is the paperwork on the inside of the MD2 chest lid? Is it a list of tray contents?

Looks like it makes a great display.

Thanks for posting.

Re: MD 2 chest trays

JB

Great work. I would have thought the trays and MD chests were original.

How long did the construction take you and do you have any further projects in the works.

Sincerely
Andrew

Re: MD 2 chest trays

Hi JB

Looks nice.

Is that an original tray set etc or did you build a from parts/scratch? I wasn't sure from your post. I'm asking as I am considering a similar project.

Re: Aid station Medic

Hi Bob. It sounds like you are trying to find a scenario where several medics would be with a relatively small unit (about 40 soldiers in your case). The medical support to front line units was provided by medical detachments. In the case of an infantry battalion, direct support was provided by the ...

Re: Stethoscopes

Hi Tay

I think DME will only ship within the US. I ordered some and had the stethoscope shipped to a friend in the US who then forwarded on.

The shipping from the company was quick with no problems.

Re: Artillery shell tube used as a medic kit

Hi David I was not aware of the different terminology used for the navy dressings, however to add to the confusion the one in this photo reads 'large battle dressing, ....., US Army'. I did have a look at my UK dressings and I was wrong. These read 'shell dressing' or 'field dressing' not battle dre...
