[REF] Neighbor's garage find

Hey everyone- my father came across this medical chest in talking with his neighbor. The owner found it 'at some surplus place years ago' and wanted to get rid of it. Dad passed word on to me and I bought it for $5. Inside the chest is the empty cardboard packaging box the items were placed in. Atta...

Here's a label I created- I cannot guarantee the authenticity, but I had a photo of some sort for reference when I did it.

Doc Dean posted a picture of a backpack attached to a pack board on a Yahoo Pacific Reenactor board back in 2005- this is the picture. The item is identified as "Unit 10". It bears a little resemblance to the pack mentioned in this thread, but clearly is not. Roger, or anybody, what type o...

Hi Ben-

Thanks for the further clarification. The picture I was referring to on the Ebay page was a drawing similar to the above ones, but different. And no, I didn't save them. I've got to get into the habit of doing that! Your information is greatly appreciated!

Hi Ben- thanks for the information! That's what I was looking for. The only other pictures I'd need would be of the pack stocked with supplies. I'd seen one recently offered on Ebay which had a picture showing the zipped pouches inside. Were the pouches necessary to keep items from rolling around in...

Medical Backpack

I'm wondering where I could find any more pictures concerning the packboard-style med backpack featured in the 'medical crates' section. Also looking for some sort of list of items which may be carried in the pack. I noticed the zippered inserts in the photo. Were they issued with the pack? How prev...

I use this very same setup when I take to the field with my '28 pack and Musette bag and leave the medic yoke/bags behind. The boxed Carlisles were buggers to get in there, and I imagine would be a pain getting out in a hurry. Neat to see it here on the forum though!

Yes, the manual I got the hint from was dated Feb '41. The kind of setup I need is exactly what Roger talked about- I don't have near the stuff I need for a proper aid station. I have the sawhores-type litter stands, faux Med Chest #1, a couple litters and supplies. Unfortunately, the site this will...

Aid Station, local, hasty

I'm looking for plans for the above referenced aid-station, found in section VII of Field Manual 5-15. Anybody out there know of this type setup, or can give me an idea of what it may look like?
