Tue Sep 24, 2013 09:24

Hello,

I have in my collection that US medic unit road-sign and i want to identify the code-name "OXFORD". That sign has been found near ST LO.

Thanks,

Hello David,

Welcome to the MRC Forum ! I hope you'll enjoy your stay with us.

Congratulations with the goodie - truly a great item.

With regard to your query "Oxford" was the radio callsign of the 45th Armored Medical Battalion.
As a matter of fact, all organic units of the 3d Armored Division (Omaha) had callsigns starting with "O" during WWII, except the attached elements.

Regards,

Alain
