Rubberized Apron

Sun Oct 27, 2013 15:27

Hello !

Does someone have information about the APRON, RUBBERIZED # 7701000, which is listed in the chest MD 1. Impossible for me to find any information about this item. (material, color, size...)

Thanks

Hello Eric,

I regret not being able to solve this question. I have never seen a sample of the Rubberized Apron before. Some people pretend it was white, while others pretend it was a natural 'colored' rubber item. Dimensions were apparently quite large (i.e. read long).
It would be very similar to the Rubberized Lead Apron used in Roentgenology ... but here again, I've never seen one to compare, or the one used by Veterinary personnel, a White Rubberized Apron (no relation whatsoever with the CWS garment used for Decontamination).

No one else with comments ...

I believe I have what you're looking for! Dimensions: 35" overall length, 25 1/4" length from underarm to bottom, 32" wide, 10" wide at neck. The cotton web ties are about 3/4" wide and 14 1/2" long. There is a 2" reinforcement "foldover" below the neck opening on which is printed; Rand Rubber Co.
