Alain, Ben -

Can you tell me the source for your list of typical medical equipment for the WC54?

Thanks,
Peter

WC54 Ambulance

Peter,
Both Ben and I have quite an important personal Library among which are a number of TMs and FMs relating to the US Medical Department , which we often use as a basis for our Articles .
Furthermore and in order to be a little more explicit - Ambulances are equipped with 4 litters - 12 woolen blankets (in large blanket sets canvas bags) - 1 splint set (in canvas bag) - second echelon motor maintenance equipment - 1 camouflage net (22' x 22') . The vehicle is run and operated by 1 driver + 1 orderly (ref FM 8-5 dated 31 May 45 + FM 8-35 dated 21 Feb 41) . Please note that such vehicle would also be provided with 1 Ambulance & Marker Flag (18" x 27") Stock No. 5-F-2150 .
Hope above helps ,
Alain :)

Thanks Alain. I have both versions of 8-5 you mentioned in PDF, but don't have 8-35. Something more to look for.

Hi,
where all WC-54 equiped with a fire extinguisher or only some of them?
As vehicle, was it also equiped with a 24 unit first aid kit?
Thanks,

andré
