Seeking kit info

Sat Dec 16, 2006 16:00

My apologies to those who have seen this request on other forums and have to read through it yet again. I'm working on something that's turning out to be somewhat hard to find information on. I have an empty Kit, First Aid, Jungle, Complete number 9776300 that I'm trying to restock. I am seeking photographs of any of the items included in the kit as I feel I will have to reproduce many of the items, and want to get them as near to correct as possible. Photos of items I'm seeking are:
insect repellent Item # 9120110
Sulfaguanidine 0.5gm Tablets Item # 1462600
Aloin Compound Tablets Item #1057000
Acid, Acetylsalicylic 5gr Tablets Item #1010000
Sodium Bicarbonate and Peppermint Tablets with
Charcoal Item #1418000
Note: The above 4 items appear to be glass bottles guessing 2 1/2"-
3" high by 2 1/4 wide with black metal caps- sort of like the old Alka
Seltzer glass bottles.
Sodium Chloride Tablets Item #9120200
Sulfadiazine Tablets Item #9120400

any information that could be offered would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Doc,

A kit that you are looking for was recently for sale on eBay, but unfortunately the seller removed it before I could place a bid. I did however manage to save some of the photographs that were posted on the listing. I have uploaded them to the website, and you can download them from the following links:

I also have some of the required items in my personnal collection, and can supply some more detailed images if necessary.

As an aside, I think that the containers for the various pills within this kit are shown in Plate 27 of MED 3 (i.e. 9773400).

Sorry I can't be of more help, and like I said if you need more detailed scans of some of the components (i.e. Sulfadiazine Tablets etc.) please drop me a line: ben@med-dept.com

Regards,
Ben

First off, glad to hear from Marble Falls, Tx. I was wondering if we should start calling you Doc Popsicle, Roger! I will scour the landscape for someting to use for the containers. Something's gotta be out there somewhere.
