Olympic Air Show 19-20 Jun

Tue Jun 08, 2010 19:41

If you are in the Seattle area, this is nice Father's Day event.

Besides the air show, two local living history groups have WW2 and Vietnam displays.

Skypig, PADoc - should I save some room for you? I'm hoping to have my ambulance there.

I'm available, but Dirk has all the toys. I'll contact him and see if he can make it. Mike

That sounds like a good event. Sadly it conflicts with another event in Central Oregon, in which I am a principal coordinator.
We are confirmed to be at the Normandie event at Fort Stevens on 17 July, the Evergreen Aviation Museum event on 14 August, the Campfires and Candlelights at Fort Vancouver on 18 Sept. and possibly the 21 August event at Fort Stevens.

No problem Dirk. I have always wanted to participate in the campfires event at Ft Vancouver, it sounds like a good weekend. The 21 Aug event at Stevens is always a good event, lots of visitors and a great venue. Hopefully we can hook up for that event.

Mike - you are welcome to hang out with us at Olympia. We may not have as much medical kit as Dirk, but we have a good time.

For anyone that doesn't know, Ft Stevens was attacked by a Japanese submarine June 1942. http://www.historylink.org/index.cfm?DisplayPage=output.cfm&File_Id=7217. It was the first US mainland military installation attacked since 1812.
