Johnson & Johnson Plain Gauze Bandage

Fri Jan 05, 2007 05:24

Johnson & Johnson Plain Gauze Bandage wrapper for a compressed, 3" x 6 Yard piece of gazue. The wrapper was printed on paper similar to oven parchment paper. A good substitute would be thin, white typing paper. A good filler would be a rounded corner, 1x2 piece of lumber cut to 3" in length. The final product is then wax dipped. I will put some pics up of an original and my repro as soon as possible. Until then, enjoy the PDF!

Unfortunately, yes. It would appear that we lost all of the files during our technological difficulties of late, and as a result, I would ask those who have already posted them to repost them (preferably by editing your previous posts).

Alternatively, if anyone took the time to download the said files, and would be willing to send them to me in a PM or e-mail, I will do the necessary uploading to the server.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and I am sure that if we work together, this shouldn't be too difficult for us to resolve.

Thanks,
Ben

Hi Doc,

The originals of these were waxed using a clear wax. I have read a number of different methods for achieving the effect, the most common seemingly to be melting down candle wax. Note that the wax coating should only be very thin, and should not impair the text.

The measurements for the filler are indeed as you mention, 1" x 2" x 3". This represents the final folded, compressed size of the original gauze.

Hope that helps,
Ben :)

I cut blocks of wood to these dimensions. But it seems the wrapper is to small. What are you using for filler. (note I change the pdf settings to print actuall sizes and not shrink to fit)
