Hello all, here is my last restaurations of an MD 1 and MD 2... A great thank to Medicall...

The MD 1 first,

Note, the MD 1 Chest with only one handle... I found it without a handle on one side, and no one was here before...

Very nice job! Can you tell me how or where you were able to find the caduceus decal? Thanks.

Hello steevo,

I printed the caduceus on special paper (film decals) with my inkjet printer. I painted the circle with white paint on the chest. I put a special polish on the decals to protect the ink when I put the paper in water to stick the decal on the white circle...
If you want I can provide the drawing of the caduceus in .pdf

The caduceus was drawn from an original found on a chest...

I know this is a bit of an old thread, but what did you use for the tray supports?

I'd be interested in how you made these supports as well...

Hello,
which "supports" are you telling about ? If these are those metal atached on the trays, they are original...

I thought so. Since the thread started as a "rebuild", was wondering what was used. I also noticed there was a reference to a set of plans for these. Anyone have them or know where they are?

I have a set of these plans in METRIC sizing. I've never converted to INCH dimensions, but I believe it should be easy.

Drop me an email at TenthA86@q.com and I'll send you the PDF.

I've noticed when shopping for plywood during the past several years that much of what is sold domestically in supposedly US units, measures just the slightest amount off, yet putting the vernier calipers to the sheet very often shows a nice, neat, exact metric thickness! I'm thinking the metric sizing you've got already should work just fine.
