[REF] ANC Dog Tags

Tue Nov 11, 2008 03:08

Hi Guys,
I had read somewhere that the ANC dog tags ASN began with N-700,000 series number, for example N-720924. My question is this, where can one find this referenced in any historical data since the regular officer ASN began with "0"? Does anyone have photo's of an ANC dog tag? Just curious.
Thanks,
-Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for your question. You're quite correct that Army Nurse Corps members' Identification Tags did indeed begin with the prefix of "N-", followed by a group of 6 digits in the 700,000 range as you indicate. The information can be found on Alain's Strictly GI website > http://strictly-gi.com/page82.html .

There's also a photograph on the page of Nurse's Dog Tag, and for reference I have posted it below:

I hope that this will answer your query,
Ben :)
