Dear readers,

We have now been able to finalise the posting of another Article to our website. This one looks at Dog Tags of the US Army in World War 2, and also contains numerous notes and remarks relating to the Army Serial Number. It can be found in the "Miscellaneous Articles" menu of the main website navigation. Alternatively, please click on the link below to directly to the new Article:

U.S. Army WW2 Dog Tags

Thanks and kind regards,
Ben& Alain :)

Johan,
Great item ! Identical to the one I have, except for the number of course.
As we received quite a number of queries relating to Dog Tags and Army Serial Numbers, I thought it was the right time to review, update, and complete my 'old' WW2 Dog Tags Article that I wrote and edited for the now inactive "Strictly G.I." website some years ago.

More 'miscellaneous' topics may come up in future ... as time permits.

Best personal regards,
Alain

Those GRS dogtags were also made for German soldiers. In this case probably a German soldier who died in captivity.
