Making changes to PDF files

Tue Jan 22, 2008 06:19

Hey you guys. For those who make these files that we find in this section, I have a question. I have some PDFs of stuff that I would like to make some changes to. Is there wa way to change these files to some other kind of file to be able to use them in paint shop pro or something?

Hi Nicholas,

There are a number of online resources for converting PDF files to a more usable and editable format. One that springs to mind is Zamzar, which is able to convert PDFs to Microsoft Word documents. Would be interested to learn how you get on. Depending on how the PDF has been compiled, it may also be possible to extract some components using Adobe Photoshop (File > Import > PDF Image).

I hope that helps, and should you need more information or assistance, please feel free to ask.

an easy tool is to copy the PDF into a WORD document as a graphic, then (if the change is minor), insert a text box over what you want to change. Make sure you layer the graphic behind text...
