Nurses (ANC) with Hospitals

Fri Aug 22, 2008 08:32

For ladies involved in medical re-enacting,
I've gone thru some 1942-based T/Os relating to WW2 Hospitals and other medical organizations, in which ANC personnel were used both for administration and professional tasks .
AUX SURG GP > 2 Nurses (Admin) 68 Nurses (Prof)
CONV HOSP > NO Nurses
EVAC HOSP > 6 Nurses (Admin) 46 Nurses (Prof)
EVAC HOSP (Motorized) > 4 Nurses (Admin) 44 Nurses (Prof)
FLD HOSP > 2 Nurses (Admin) 15 Nurses (Prof)
GEN HOSP > 5 Nurses (Admin) 100 Nurses (Prof)
HOSP CEN > 1 Nurse (Admin)
HOSP SHIP > 1 Nurse (Admin) 34 Nurses (Prof)
HOSP TRAIN > 6 Nurses (Prof)
STA HOSP > min. 4 Nurses (Prof) to max 900 Nurses (Prof) depending on number of beds .
Hope the above will be useful to some of our female re-enactors .
Numbers may have changed throughout the war period ...

Thu Sep 04, 2008 12:59

To all interested re-enactors,
We are projecting a small article listing and summarizing the number of personnel and the number/type of vehicles in use by various Medical organizations in WW2 . The information will be based on actual T/O, and/or T/O & Es, available with Ben and myself .

We both hope it will benefit your WW2 impressions !
