Re: [REF] Chest MD2 contents

Does anyone have a photos and/or dimensions of 51890000 cup paper non-collapsible? I was thinking of grabbing some of the cups from the water bottle or plain white Dixie cups.

Peter,
I was able to check for you this afternoon, and all I have is the collapsible version (i.e. Item # 7778000).
Sorry,
Ben :)

Hello sgtpeter and Ben,
I have not non-collapsible cups in paper ITEM 5189000,but a dispenser box of 250 cup paper collapsible ITEM 7778000
(this is a dotation in Chest Flight Service ITEM 9754500).
Dimensions of one cup are 4 1/8 x 2 7/8 inch. The folding leaf part is pre gummed.
I think that the sterilizer instrument 9 3/4(length?)with gasoline burner is ITEM 9954028,mine has another shape made
by BURROWS Metal MFG.Co.(no dated),with Coleman 527 and stand because the folding feet under the boiler is too low to place Coleman 527,I suppose this fitment is made for "wood fire !" in case of failure with gasoline burner(non-leaded gas!!)
Other sterilizer with alcohol burner is the 12 inches ITEM 9953520(also used with gasoline Coleman 527 = ITEM 9953528),
this is made by JENNINGS Silver Co.(no dated)
I hope these photos can satisfied more of you.
Good research during this summer.
Later I post my chests MD 2 and MD 4.
Friendly yours.

Thanks for sharing these photographs, Medicall!
Peter the cups I have are similar to those posted by Medicall, except they're produced by Mine Safety Appliances. Let me know if you still want the shots.
The weather here has been lousy today, and I couldn't take any photographs. However, once it's improved, I will post shots of my MD 2 Chest too.
Regards,
Ben :)

Medicall -

Thanks for posting the information and the photos. I just picked up two 527 stoves, one new in the box and one missing the stand. Neither had the instrument trays. I made the assumption that all the gas powered sterilizers used the 527 stoves but didn't know for sure. I hadn't paid much attention to the sterno fired sterilizers in the catalog, a very interesting piece of kit.

Thanks again,
Peter

Thanks Ben. When you have time, feel free to post your MSA cups. I'm sure others would be interested in the differences. As for the non-collapsible cups, discovered that Solo still sells 3 oz and 4 oz plain white flat bottom waxed paper cups. I think I'll grab some for the chest.

Hope they are of some use. For the record, the dimensions are identical to those indicated by Medicall...

Thanks and kind regards,

Well, after a couple of years of searching, I have finally been able to add a Medical Department Cash Box (Item # 7720500). Unlike Peter's, mine has been made by "Climax Metal Co.", and for reference here are a couple of photographs:

Also of interest is this early training photograph showing one of the MD Tray Sets erected. Notice in the second shelf, there is this elusive item:

Thanks,
