Operation Pitchfork

Mon Jul 30, 2007 10:48

Hello guys,

I just thought I would post up some images of the event that I attended and participated in this past weekend. I would be most grateful for your thoughts on the display:

Image
Display of the Battalion Aid Station with various bits and pieces on display.

Image
Illustration showing the Lyster Bag, that was prescribed for use at every Aid Station.

Image
Alternative view of the Aid Station display, showing the improvised OR Table using Litter, and up-ended MD Chests.

Thanks guys, and let me know your thoughts,
Ben

Very nice stuff Ben. Wish I could have made it as I had planned. O well, maybe next year.

Is that an part of the Medical chest no.4 or do you have the complete set?

Hi Twinky,

Thanks for your kind words, and Martyn too.

The tables are indeed part of the Medical Chest #4, but unfortunately I don't have the rest of insert for this chest.

Thanks again,
Ben

Hi Ben,
Richard here, hijacked Dazs user name, just like to say its the best U.S Medical display I've seen, and I'm not just saying that cos we are in the same group, I said to your dad at the time that the public and fellow reenactors who looked round said how good it was. You should be proud of yourself mate you've put alot of time and effort into it and it shows, {Lets not forget your dads handy work on some off the repro stuff, pat on the back aswell Chris}, Excellent Display Ben.

Regards Richard

Excellent Ben, where did you get the shelving unit with the blanket on top?

I believe those are the inserts for Chest #2, which give the effect of shelves when stacked. It's called a Tray Set Type 1 as shown in the "medical chest" reference section {http://med-dept.com/md_chests.php)

great display...

It's probably not the sort of thing I'll find in the UK no doubt, if I get one from the States I'll probably get captured by customs and charged as well, they've just hit me for another £16 for my Proctosigmoidscope coming into the country, third item in a row from ebay in the States.
