Geneva Cross flag

Sun Dec 02, 2012 05:22

Here's an odd flag. It's not marked in any way. I think the cut at an angle is unusual. Any ideas to why it's made like that? Was it so it would hang from a pole on a tent without bunching up?

My best guess is that is was used on a tent or building: with the flagpole at an angle upward the flag is hanging straight down en can therefore be seen without folding.

But no hard evidence..

Hi Guys,
I'm afraid this is no standard/regular Geneva Convention Flag or Marker (QMC Stock No. 5-F-2150).
I have no clue as to why it has that 'specific' shape, it just might have been adapted to fit in somewhere ... but the question, why and where, remains !

Just my two cents.

The label says "For Emergency Use Only"....whatever that means. Lois
