As far as known, the 15th Evac Hosp (400 beds) only served in the Mediterranean Theater. It arrived February 21, 1943; set up in Algeria April 11; crossed into Tunisia April 21; fought in Sicily July 20; and transferred to Italy November 2, 1943. The Hospital received following campaign credits: Tunisia, Sicily, Naples-Foggia, Anzio, Rome-Arno, North Apennines, and Po Valley. The unit closed for Redeployment on August 20, 1945 in Florence, Italy, was ready for disposition August 25, and was finally inactivated there September 8, 1945.
I hope the above will be of some help to you. Happy Thanksgiving and fine holidays.
